A set of 4 luxurious hiki-haku Japanese papers.
※Two of the decorated foil papers use the yaki-haku technique, which involves a color-changing process on silver-foiled Japanese paper. There are brown spots from this process. Please refer to images 6 and 8.

It is a shame that the beauty cannot be fully conveyed in the images, but you can enjoy the brilliant sparkle.
Hiki-haku, crafted with various techniques, can be admired as is by framing it, or used as material for Japanese-style art panels.

※Hiki-haku (引箔) is a Japanese paper used in Nishijin weaving (mainly for high-end obi sashes). Pure silver or gold foil is used, and there are various techniques such as lacquer, dyeing, baking, and kneading. There are many types, and many of the techniques are proprietary secrets. The names of the techniques also vary.

※These items have been stored at home. As they are old Japanese papers, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned after viewing the images.

Would be great for those who love paper crafts. Can be used for art panels, handmade objects, etc.
